About the Artist

Brock Thornton, better known by his stage name Boogie T, has long been an integral figure in the dubstep and bass EDM scene. From playing guitar and singing live performances to grinding wonky wubs with friends or performing DJ sets on decks – his genuine love of music shines through all aspects of his artistic endeavour.

His bass-fueled sound has delighted audiences across North America on multiple tours and festivals such as Bonnaroo, Okeechobee and Voodoo Fest – as well as his hometown friends Andrew “Yano” Yanovski on keys and Frank “Animal Drums” Castro (drums/percussion). Additionally he forms part of Boogie T.RIO with two fellow hometown favorites in key player Andrew “Yano” Yanovski (Yano) Yanovski and Frank ‘Animal Drums’ Castro on drums/percussion.

Boogie T’s goal in the studio and behind the decks is simple: make great music and connect with people by taking risks and pushing boundaries. An entertainer at heart, Boogie T represents the spirit of Louisiana with his unique bass-heavy sound.

Brock Thornton, commonly referred to by his stage name Boogie T in Louisiana, has an affinity for music that stems from his swampy upbringing. Receiving his first guitar from his grandparents at eight, Boogie T has since used music as an outlet to express himself creatively – whether electro funk, dubstep or riddim; his music always features a distinctive southern flare that’s hard to miss!

Multi-talented producer DJ Dillon Francis has traveled around the country as a DJ, making appearances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella. Furthermore, his strong presence as a producer includes collaborations with artists like GRiZ and Snails.

As part of his live show Boogie T.rio at Crescent Ballroom on February 9th, he’ll bring his high-energy show Boogie T.rio featuring his drummer and two other bass producers. You can expect an exhilarating musical journey complete with intense jam improvisations that truly blend genres.

Boogie T’s Tours

Boogie T has always wowed audiences with his bass music performances, whether solo or as part of his partnership with Hong Kong tech artist Saka. Most recently he left Town Ballroom after selling out with his 140 Warriors tour, also including bass music legends GRiZ and Bawldy.

Born and raised in Louisiana, Brock Thornton aka Boogie T has been using music as an expressive outlet since he was eight. From singing, rapping and DJing – to producing and DJing – his southern charm shines through in all aspects of his work.

He made his debut label release with Ganja White Night’s SubCarbon Records in 2017, earning a top 10 position on iTunes Electronic Album charts. Later that same year he established Drama Club Recordings with the aim of distributing his own music while signing tracks by both established and up-and-coming artists alike – not to mention providing energetic live shows that have quickly become essential experiences for bass music fans worldwide.
